In a May Day announcement for muster roll workers, Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma on Friday said the state government has approved their long-standing demand for Variable Dearness Allowance (VDA), entailing an additional annual expenditure of ₹10 crore.
Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma on Friday launched the CM-LIGHT scheme, disbursing ₹5,000 each to over 11,000 registered construction workers from the ₹400 crore labour cess, and said ₹29,000 crore worth of infrastructure projects have generated 20,000 jobs in Meghalaya.
