The Anti-Narcotics Task Force of West Garo Hills district in Meghalaya arrested two persons with heroin on Monday.

Meghalaya Police on Monday afternoon arrested two alleged drug dealers identified as M. Tuanbiaklian Guite, (32) and Imliakum Longkumer, (40) and seized 2.738 kg of heroin worth Rs 10 crore (approx) in the international market.

The deceased has been identified as Dechrang T Sangma, son of Karben A Sangma.

Chief Minister of Meghalaya, Conrad Sangma on Sunday remembered his late father and a senior politician Purno Sangma on the occassion of Father's day.

Other who spoke on the occasion and took part in the program included general secretary from GSU(CEC) Interim Body, Garo Hills State Movement Committee (GSMC),Vice President of FKJGP – Garo Hills , President of TGCSU, A·chik Mahindra Pik Up Union, etc

According to Police, these two smugglers had planned to supply the FICN to weekly markets.

e also said that the supervisor has warned him of closing his shop if he fails to give him the amount.

Meghalaya Police nabbed two inter-state drug traffickers who tried to enable drug transaction at Shillong but was caught due to the alertness of East Khasi Hills Police.
