Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma on Wednesday rejected Congress president Vincent H Pala’s charge that the National People’s Party (NPP) would face infighting over the Rajya Sabha election, asserting that his party takes decisions democratically and asking Pala to “see the cracks in the Congress” instead.
NPP candidate for the Shillong Lok Sabha byelection, Dr DRL Nonglait has said his decision to contest on the party’s ticket was rooted in the need to work with an “effective government” and to advance education, youth employment, and constitutional recognition of the Khasi language.
