Sairang Railway Station marked a major milestone on Mizoram’s rail map by handling its first-ever direct inward automobile rake, carrying 119 Maruti cars from Changsari near Guwahati. The historic movement is expected to significantly improve vehicle availability in Aizawl, reduce dependence on long-distance road transport, and benefit the state’s automobile ecosystem—dealers, service providers and customers alike.

Mizoram is set to get its first Rajdhani Express this weekend, marking a historic addition to the state’s connectivity with the national capital. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will flag off the train on Saturday, September 13, linking Sairang station near Aizawl with Delhi’s Anand Vihar station.
