In order to ensure a smooth flow of traffic during the Lok Sabha polls counting day on June 4, the Shillong Traffic Police (STP) has requested the general public to avoid driving vehicles towards the Polo area from 08:00 AM onwards.
A total of 684 violations were detected by the Shillong Traffic Police during a special checking drive to ensure safety on the roads and to deter the violators.
With the aim to improve vehicular traffic at Polo and Madanrting areas, the Shillong Traffic Police (STP) has decided to make certain changes on the traffic regulation around the following routes on a trial basis with effect from November 6.
