Mizoram's fight against tuberculosis (TB) saw key developments as health officials gathered for the National TB Elimination Programme's first quarter review of 2024. The meeting was held at the Conference Hall of the DHS old building, Aizawl, on April 30. he meeting was chaired by Dr. Febiola Kharkongor, State TB Officer.
The program aimed at sensitising the Youth and College Students centred around key messages on Tuberculosis - it's prevention, diagnosis and treatment through competition of Singing, Phawar and wall painting.
The office of the District Tuberculosis Officer, East Khasi Hills District, on Friday conducted a training and sensitization programme for traditional healers on TB elimination at Sohra Community Health Centre, Shella Bholaganj Block.
Attendees of the event, including local leaders, medical professionals, and the public, collectively pledged their commitment to eliminating Tuberculosis from the region.
