Tokyo, July 29: The seventh day of Tokyo 2020 began on a promising note as team India qualified for the quarter-finals of four different sports.

The Men’s hockey team, Archer Atanu Das, Badminton ace shuttler PV Sindhu and Boxer Satish Kumar are on the list for the last eight.

The Indian men’s hockey team thrashed defending champions Argentina 3-1 to confirm a spot in the quarter-finals.

PV Sindhu defeated Denmark’s Mia Blichfeldt to enter the last eight.

Archer Atanu Das advanced after beating former Olympic & World Champion Oh Jin Hyek of South Korea.

Indian boxer Satish Kumar proceed into the quarterfinals of the men’s super heavyweight category by beating Jamaica’s Ricardo Brown.
