Agartala, June 13: Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha has approved Rs 70,000 to cover the outstanding hospital dues and expenses of Late Anjan Sarkar’s last rites from Kailasahar under Unakoti district.
Late Anjan Sarkar had travelled to Bengaluru for personal reasons but died after he met with an accident.
After his death, Anjan Sarkar’s father sought assistance from the government to cover the substantial expenses involved due to the financial constraints.
Following the request by Sarkar’s family members, Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha instructed the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) to coordinate with the hospital and authorities in Karnataka.
The main aim was to ensure that the Government provide them with necessary support and to ensure that the family did not bear the burden alone.
With the CMs intervention, an amount of Rs 70,000 has been sanctioned to settle the outstanding hospital dues and cover the expenses related to Anjan Sarkar’s last rites.
Taking to CM Facebook wrote, “Sanctioned an amount of Rs. 70000 today to cover the costs of administering the final rites for Late Anjan Sarkar, S/o Sri Arun Sarkar of Kailasahar and payment of overdue hospital bills. This is a testament to our efforts to ensure that no one is left behind and in keeping with the genuine ethos of a welfare state”.
“As soon as I came to know about this, I gave my office instructions to contact the family, the hospital and the Karnataka authorities in order to make sure that the grieving family received all possible assistance. May Maa Tripureshwari grant the family the fortitude they need to get through this difficult time,” he said.
