Tura, Apr 29: The driver of the dumper truck that had fled the scene after Sunday’s accident at Matchikol in Tura was arrested on Monday morning from Dhanua, South Salmara in Assam.
The driver has been identified as Kazimuddin, 32.
Police has registered a case under Araimile PS case no. 21(4)2024 u/s 279/336/337/338 IPC and is investing the case.
In a release issued here this evening, the district police chief of West Garo Hills Dr. Dara Aswaghosh said, “The West Garo Hills police express our commitment for ensuring justice to the victim and through investigation in the instant case. Further updates will be provided as the investigation progresses”.
