Tura, Sept 2: Tura Christian College (TCC), hosted its graduation ceremony for the 2022-2025 batch at the district auditorium in Tura on Tuesday.

The event, meticulously organized by the college, celebrated the achievements of its graduating students with a series of speeches, musical performances, and formal ceremonies.
The ceremony marked a moment of triumph for the 85 graduates from the Arts and Commerce streams.
Bedecked in their academic regalia, the students extended their deepest gratitude to the dedicated faculty, staff, and their families.

The Chief Guest, I. Nongrang, the Director General of Police (DGP) and Head of Police Force in Meghalaya, delivered a powerful address.
She spoke about the value of perseverance and urged the graduates to embark on their individual journeys with unwavering dedication and purpose.
Nongrang emphasized the importance of hard work, dedication, courage, and determination, referencing the college motto, “Begin well, finish well.”
Sharing a personal anecdote about her own journey, Nongrang noted that her curious nature served her well.
She urged the graduating class of 2025 to continue asking questions and learning throughout their lives, as education is a lifelong process.
Quoting Nelson Mandela, she stated that “education is the most powerful weapon to change the world,” and challenged the graduates to prove their potential.
She encouraged them to “aspire to reach for the stars,” as aiming high can still result in significant achievements.
Among the notable figures in attendance were key members of the college’s Governing Body, including Dr. Tony Trabert C. Marak (Retd IFS), Former PCCF & President; Dr. Earlitha M. Sangma, Principal; and Dr. Sanggra A. Sangma.
Other distinguished guests included Abraham T Sangma, Superintendent of Police, West Garo Hills; Feroz Rehman, MPS, SP, Traffic, Tura; Dr. Viola S. B. Sangma, ICFAI Advisor and Tura Campus Head; and Rikse R. Marak, MCS, Principal Director, MBOSE, Tura.
Since its founding in 2018 with just 35 students, Tura Christian College has grown to over 1,000 students in both the Arts and Commerce streams.
The college has plans to introduce a Science stream in the future and continues to encourage students to work hard for their future achievements.
