Shillong, March 28: UDP legislator from Mokaiaw Nujorki Sungoh on Tuesday demanded the immediate shifting of the Sub-Division Number-1 of PWD Shangpung Divison Office located in Jowai.

Raising a supplementary query in the Assembly, Sungoh said, “I request the deputy chief minister to look into the matter so that the sub-division comes to my constituency.”

He also assured the government that there will be no issue in as far as the land for shifting the sub-division number – 1 is concerned.

In his reply, deputy chief minister in-charge PWD (Roads) Prestone Tynsong said that shifting of the sub-division number-1 is under examination

He said that the sub-division is looking after two constituencies – Raliang and Mokaiaw.
