Must read

Damas, April 3: Meghalaya Chief Minister and Chief of NPP Conrad K Sangma today said that if the ruling party is given the mandate, there will be ‘stability’ in GHADC.

Addressing an election rally at Keragalram under Damas GHADC constituency in North Garo Hills to seek support for incumbent Dy CEM Dolly Sangma, he said, “GHADC needs attention. The situation in the council is not very good. They need support from the State and Centre. So it is important that the ruling party is given the mandate… so that the Govt can support and aid the GHADC.”

He told that NPP is committed to the cause of the people and has been aggressively working to create better facilities and livelihood opportunities.

He said that the council plays a vital role in preserving the customs and traditions of the people and it is important to strengthen and further empower the council.

“We have a plan to reform the council. We want council to be stable and viable. We promise to create a better environment in the council, and enable them to perform their mandated duties”, he added.

On a humorous note, he submitted a memorandum to the people to vote for NPP, and enable the Govt to work for better connectivity and development interventions.

“Accept my memorandum to elect NPP candidates and we will work together to better the facilities for our people,” he added.
