Tura, April 30: The 3rd P A Sangma Memorial Day & Night Cricket Tournament continued its exciting run on Tuesday at the Police Parade Ground in Tura. Day 8 saw decisive matches, leaving only the cream of the crop in the competition.

Notably, due to frequent rain interruptions, some matches of the day were shortened to just 8 overs.

In the seventh match, last year’s winner TP Prince XI was pitted against Bugara United-A. TP Prince XI batted first and scored 85 runs in 8 overs with a loss of 6 wickets. Bugara United-A could only muster 58 runs losing 6 wickets in the 8 overs.

TP Prince XI registered a 27-run win, and Alpriang D Sangma was awarded player of the match, taking 3 wickets in 2 overs with a maiden over in the mix and sparing only 2 runs.

Last match of the day was Hind Warriors vs Dillang Challenge. Batting first, Dillang Challenge set a target of 96 runs (scoring 95) with a loss of 6 wickets in their 10 overs. Hind Warriors, in their innings, fell short and could muster only 65 runs before being bowled out in 10 overs.

Dillang Challenge won the match by 30 runs, and Lasbon was awarded player of the match.

Result of other matches:
– Nightmates defeated Cool Thunders by 13 runs, and Joy was awarded player of the match.

– Galaxy XI won by 160 runs against Troublemakers, and Shamim Hassan Rahul was awarded player of the match.

– Square Feet registered a 7-wicket win against K D Titans, and Rokibul Hassan was awarded player of the match.

– GHADC defeated Nokma Ice-Cream by 69 runs, and Silas R Marak was awarded player of the match.

– Awe Matgrik won by 6 wickets against Goira Kimpret, and Kilbirth Sangma was awarded player of the match.

– Saksu Matgrik won by 19 runs against Hyper Hawks, and Klebath Sg was awarded player of the match.
