Shillong, Jun 19: Residents of Shillong City and adjoining areas will face a temporary disruption in water supply for four hours on June 23, due to scheduled maintenance work at the Mawphlang substation.

A notice issued by the office of the Chief Engineer, Public Health Engineering Department informed that MePDCL will install CT/PT combine sets on the 33/11 KV feeder at Mawphlang Substation.
The work will be carried out from 10am to 2pm on June 23.
The PHE department said there will be no water supply to Shillong City and its adjoining localities during this period. Supply will resume immediately once MePDCL completes the installation work.
Chief Engineer HCS Nongbri in the notice expressed regret for the inconvenience caused to consumers and urged residents to store adequate water in advance.
