Tura, Oct 12: An awareness-cum-career guidance for armed forces for the youth of Garo Hills got underway at Narangbari Playground under Selsella C&RD Block on Wednesday.
The 3-day career guidance programme, which will conclude on Friday, saw a good number of youths in attendance.
The programme has been organised by Deputy Commissioner (Planning), West Garo Hills.
The recruitment awareness campaign is being conducted by 120 Battalion of CRPF based in Tura.
As part of the programme, a coaching cum career guidance was also conduced for the youth.
To motivate the youth of the region to take up careers in armed forces, Winje R. G. Momin (MCS), Addl. DC (Planning) and P. Joshi Ji, Commandant CRPF, gave motivational speeches.
