Tura, Sept 10: The AYWO’s Nongalbibra Regional Unit have sought the immediate intervention of Deputy Commissioner of South Garo Hills district to re-operationalize the veterinary hospital at Jadigittim.

The organization formally wrote a letter to the DC on September 6, 2023.

In their letter, the organization pointed out the predicament faced by residents of Jadigittim who are encountering difficulties in seeking medical attention for their pets and livestock due to the veterinary hospital’s non-functionality.

According to local villagers, the Jadigittim veterinary hospital lacks doctors or staff to oversee its operations, with only a caretaker on duty. While the caretaker is on-site at all times, he is unable to manage all the services related to domestic animals when the public is in need.

The organization hoped that the DC would investigate this issue and take necessary measures.
