BSF Meghalaya observes World Cancer Day

Shillong, Feb 4: With an aim to spread awareness and educate the people about cancer, Border Security Force (BSF), Meghalaya, observed the World Cancer Day at Composite Hospital Shillong on Saturday.

Dr Angel Bennet, DIG (Med), educated BSF personnel and their family members on various types of cancer prevailing in the society and preventions to be taken care of. During the programme, a cancer screening camp was also held in which 80 persons underwent cancer screening.

Pradip Kumar, IPS, IG BSF Meghalaya, attended the programme as the Chief Guest where he addressed the gathering and sensitize them to have a healthy and happy life. IG urged BSF members to change their lifestyle and food habits to keep the cancer at bay.
