Cash stolen from Tura veterinary store; CCTV captures suspects

Tura, June 5: Police have launched an investigation into a theft at a veterinary medicine store in Tura’s Brahminpara locality after unidentified individuals allegedly stole cash from the establishment on Thursday.

The incident occurred at Sen Pharma, a veterinary pharmacy, where cash was reportedly taken from the store’s cash box. CCTV footage from the area has captured two suspected individuals and is being examined by investigators.

The store owner has filed a formal complaint with the police, who have since initiated a probe and are reviewing available CCTV footage and other evidence to identify those involved.

Videos and images of the suspected thieves have also been circulated on social media and community messaging platforms, prompting residents to assist authorities with any information that could help track down the suspects.

Police said efforts are underway to identify and apprehend the accused. Officials have appealed to the public to come forward with any relevant information that may aid the investigation.

The theft has sparked concern among local residents and business owners in Brahminpara, with many calling for heightened vigilance and stronger security measures. Authorities have advised shopkeepers and residents to secure their premises and promptly report any suspicious activity.
