Must read

Shillong, May 8: The opposition Congress on Thursday announced its decision not to be part of the All Party Committee constituted by the state government to examine the issue related to the proposed implementation of railway projects in the state.

“The Congress will definitely not be part of this committee,” Secretary of the Meghalaya Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) Manuel Badwar told reporters.

Badwar added, “They (MDA) have been given the mandate by the public at large to run the show. They should run the show on their own and we will see if it is right or if it is wrong.”

The party further said if the government wants to form an all-party committee and involve everyone, then it should involve everybody in everything. “Don’t just involve one agenda or the other if you feel you are on sticky ground that’s not acceptable. They have been given a mandate by the people to run the show so let them run the show,” he said.
