Tura, Oct 19: Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma attended the closing ceremony of the celebrations for the 50 years of Meghalaya Board of School Education (MBOSE) at Green Haven in Tura.
Conrad Sangma graced the event as the chief guest; Education Minister Rakkam A. Sangma was the guest of honour; and the chief secretary to the Government of Meghalaya, D.P. Wahlang, attended the event as the special guest.

Taking to X, CM Conrad wrote, “The Meghalaya Board of School Education completes 50 years of its invaluable service to the people of Meghalaya. Joined the celebration of this momentous milestone in its headquarters in Tura.”
“The role of MBOSE goes beyond creating syllabus and curriculum for our schools and certification of students and its role as the guiding light of our education system is instrumental in certifying the success of Meghalaya through its young people. May MBOSE continue to strive towards ensuring academic excellence and evolve with the needs of the changing times to ensure quality education in schools across our State,” he added.
The three-day Golden Jubilee celebration started on October 17 with a bike rally and several other cultural programmes.
The theme for the Golden Jubilee celebrations was “Celebrate the Past, embrace the present and rise to the future”.
