Tura, May 1: The last-minute goal by Bikalsing Marak has helped Maram FC secure a point after a highly competitive 4-4 game against Dadenggre YC in the Tura Super Division 2024 on Wednesday.
Maram FC’s player managed to get an early goal from Togam Sangma in the 9th minute of the first half. The solo goal from Togam ended the first half with a 1-0 scoreline in favor of Maram FC.
Coming back for the second half, Maram FC doubled their lead with a goal from Dipen Daimary in the 48th minute. But just two minutes later, the opponent Dadenggre YC pulled one back with a goal from Jani Sangma in the 50th minute. Dadenggre YC’s players scored another three quick goals in the 60th, 62nd, and 69th minutes with goals from Arnith Sangma, Silwen Sangma, and Arnith Sangma.
All hope seemed lost for the Maram FC players as the game shifted from them leading in the first half to them trailing in a 4-2 scoreline until the 70th minute.
But luck was on Maram FC’s side as Dipen scored another goal in the 83rd minute. After scoring, Dipen rushed to pick the ball from the net to resume the match as quickly as possible, with just 7 minutes left on the clock in the normal 90 minutes. Bikalsing Marak scored in the very dying minute of the game to make the scoreline 4-4. Who would have thought, from leading 2 to nil, to trailing 4-2, then the match would end in an exciting 4-4 scoreline.
As the referee blew the final whistle, Maram FC players breathed a sigh of relief and satisfaction to share a point each with Dadenggre YC.
