According to West Garo Hills police, the incident happened in Koraitola village, near Harigaon bazar of Garobadha at around 6 AM when the village elder, 61 year old Bolendro Koch left his house to go to the toilet nearby. He was spotted by the wild elephant that chased and attacked him trampling him to death on the ground.
