“The Indian Air Force deeply regrets the loss of five personnel in the An-32 accident at Jorhat, Assam,” the force said.

The An-32 military transport aircraft met with an accident at Rowriah Air Force Station earlier in the day. Details regarding the circumstances leading to the crash have not yet been officially disclosed.

An investigation is expected to be initiated to determine the cause of the accident.
The An-32 is a twin-engine transport aircraft that forms a key part of the IAF’s logistics fleet and is widely used for troop movement, cargo transport and operations in remote and high-altitude regions.
