Tura, March 5: The district administrations of West Garo Hills, East Garo Hills and North Garo Hills have issued public notices announcing extensive security and logistical arrangements for the programme “Our Magnificent Meghalaya – Vision 2032: Celebrating 8 Years of MDA Government”, scheduled to be held on Friday at the P. A. Sangma Sports Complex in Tura.

The district authorities said the administrations, in coordination with the police and other line departments, have made comprehensive preparations to ensure the safe movement and participation of beneficiaries, invited guests and members of the public attending the event.

“Adequate security personnel and Executive Magistrates have been deployed from the early hours of the morning to ensure smooth and safe passage of participants,” the notice stated.

The administrations further assured that all necessary measures have been put in place to maintain law and order and ensure the safety of all attendees.

Citizens, beneficiaries and stakeholders have been encouraged to attend the programme without apprehension and extend their cooperation for its successful conduct.

Authorities, however, warned that any attempt to disturb public order or obstruct the peaceful conduct of the programme will be dealt with strictly in accordance with the law.
