Must read

Shillong, Sept 9: Deputy Chief Minister in-charge District Council Affairs (DCA) Prestone Tynsong on Tuesday informed that the government is processing the release of Rs 60-70 crore share to the Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council (KHADC).

“Recently the CEM of KHADC had met me and now we are processing for releasing of those dues which is about 60-70 crore. Calculation is still on and very soon we are going to release,” Tynsong told the Assembly while responding to the allegation of VPP legislator from Nongkrem Ardent Miller Basaiawmoit that the government did not want to release the share of the KHADC.

“For other ADCs, we have done it. Therefore, I would like to clarify let us not have any sleepless nights. Let us wait and let the report come. As members of the august House, we have equal responsibility and equal concerns about the trend that we have seen about the ADCs,” he stated.
