SHILLONG, FEB 11: The Indian Council of Agricultural Research Regional Centre for North Eastern Hills (ICAR RC NEH) Umiam recently concluded the Rashtriya Karmayogi Large-Scale Jan Seva Program, a flagship initiative of the Government of India aimed at enhancing governance and leadership in public administration.
The program, held from January 22nd to February 10th, 2025, trained approximately 221 staff members, including scientific, administrative, technical, finance, and supporting staff.
“The key objective of the program is to shift the work culture from traditional to modern approaches by encouraging modern thinking and improving the skill sets of government employees under the Karmayogi Mission,” said Dr. Braj Pal Singh, Head of DTAC, one of the Master Trainers.
The program focused on four modules, promoting a culture of mutual support, collaborative thinking, and idea exchange. Participants worked together in teams to build a deeper understanding of each topic.
“The aim is to make all employees Rashtriya Karmayogi,” Dr. Arindam Nag, Sr. Scientist and Master Trainer, emphasized.
The program aimed to promote continuous learning, enabling government servants to upgrade their knowledge and adapt to modern governance practices with Seva-Bhav.
Participants engaged in group and individual exercises to foster their development as Karmayogis.
