Dibrugarh, Aug 24: An IndiGo flight from Dibrugarh to Guwahati carrying Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma was diverted to Agartala on Sunday evening due to bad weather.

The Chief Minister’s Office confirmed his presence on the flight. IndiGo clarified that the diversion was solely weather-related, with no technical issues involved.

Earlier, the airline had issued a travel advisory stating that persistent rainfall and thunderstorms were disrupting flight operations at Guwahati.

“Travel Advisory – Persistent rainfall and thunderstorms are currently affecting #Guwahati, impacting the flight operations.
