A 75-year-old passenger onboard IndiGo flight 6E-6011 from Chennai to Guwahati was saved after suffering a medical emergency mid-air, thanks to the swift intervention of an Indian Army doctor.
The passenger has been identified as Biswajit Debnath(41). Debnath was flying on a Guwahati-Agartala IndiGo flight when he tried to open the emergency exit of the aircraft before his co-passengers pulled him back.
The flight landing at the airport is affected for last few months due to unavailability of the Instrument Landing System because of the ongoing runway extension work.
Last month, a Dibrugarh-bound IndiGo flight was diverted to Guwahati’s Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International after the pilot of the plane announced snag in engine of the aircraft.
