Assam: Indigo flight with Union Minister, 2 BJP MLAs makes emergency landing at Guwahati Airport

Guwahati, June 4: An Indigo flight on Sunday made an emergency landing at Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport in Guwahati due to technical glitch within minutes after the take-off.

The Indigo flight no 6E 2652 was coming from Chennai to Dibrugarh carrying 184 passengers including Union Minister Rameshwar Teli, two Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLAs Prashant Pukan & Terash Gowla.

While talking to press over the phone, he said that he is still at Guwahati airport after the flight made an emergency landing.

Teli further said that he have a schedule of three meetings in Duliajan, Tingkhong and Tinsukia.

Talking about the emergency landing, he said the flight was in the air for 15 to 20 minutes before landing at Dibrugarh airport and back at Guwahati airport and making an emergency landing.

He informed that everyone is safe and the authorities told them that the flight will not run again.

The flight was scheduled to arrive at Dibrugarh airport at 9.40 am.

Also, reports said thar Indigo flight no. 6E2652 (Ghy-Dib) and 6E 119 from Dibrugarh stands cancelled on Sunday due to operational reasons.
