Shillong, July 19: A delegation of National People’s Party (NPP) from Dadenggre Civil Sub Division led by Cabinet Minister and Dadenggre legislator, James K. Sangma on Monday met Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma to demand for the upgradation of Dadenggre to District level.

In a video statement after meeting with the Chief Minister, Power Minister, James K. Sangma said, “We collectively have placed a memorandum for his (Chief Minister) consideration for the creation and upgradation of Dadenggre civil sub division to a district.”
He said the demand is very long due and pending, adding that the people of Dadenggre are united in this demand.
“This demand is very long due and pending. We have informed the Chief Minister that the people falling under the Dadenggre civil sub division are all very united in our demand for the upgradation of Dadenggre as a full-fledged district,” he said.
He also informed that the Chief Minister was ‘very positive’ in his response and that they are looking forward to a positive outcome of the meeting very soon.
