KHADC gets over ₹39 crore grant from State Govt for 2024-25

Must read

Shillong, June 25: The Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council (KHADC) has received a significant amount of Rs 39,05,33,000 as its share from the state government for the financial year 2024-25. This was disclosed by Executive Member in-charge Finance, Seiborlang Warbah on Wednesday.

The revelation prompted Mawshynrut MDC S Rashir to suggest that the KHADC should take steps to close down all illegal toll gates in the region. “Given the substantial amount received from the state government, it is imperative that all illegal gates be shut down,” Rashir emphasised.

In response, the Executive Member assured that the executive committee will take necessary measures to ensure that no illegal toll gates operate under the council’s jurisdiction.
