KSU meets Rymbui to seek clarity on CUET

Must read

Shillong, April 29: The Khasi Students’ Union (KSU), South West Khasi Hills, unit on Thursday met the Education Minister Lahkmen Rymbui to apprise him of concerns on the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) to be conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for the admission into undergraduate courses in Central Universities.

Chairman of the education cell of the union, Raymond Kharjana, said the meeting with the Minister in-charge was fruitful but the KSU can’t divulge much. “We can tell you that CUET won’t affect the students of the state,” he said.

“The KSU on meeting with the Minister has sought clarification on the plans and strategy the Education department would come up to ease the adversities and difficulties of the students”, added Kharjana.

Notably, a consultation meet convened by the North-Eastern Hill University (NEHU) with the principals and heads of institutes on April 21 decided to go ahead with the CUET 2022 in the State of Meghalaya.
