Where to Find Lepchajagat

At roughly 75 miles, New Jalpaiguri Junction (NJP) is the closest railway station to this settlement. The closest airport can be found in Bagdogra. Lepcha Jagat and the airport are roughly 72 km apart. Renting a car in NJP, Bagdogra, or Siliguri will make it easy for you to get to Lepchajagat. From Siliguri or NJP, you can also go in a shared jeep to Ghoom. In Ghoom, the sumos departing for Darjeeling will drop you off. You can get a full car from Ghoom or take another shared jeep.

Finding a shared jeep to take you from Ghoom to Lepchajagat can be challenging. Lepchajagat is around 13 kilometers from Darjeeling, which you may get to by renting a car from the Darjeeling Chowk Bazar Taxi Stand. Take a shared car to Ghoom and then another to Lepchajagat if there aren’t any available to take you there. Choose a well-planned package that includes full transportation service to avoid the hassle of renting a car on your own.
