Imphal, June 30: In a new development, a picture of Manipur Chief Minister N.Biren Singh’s torn resignation letter has gone viral on social media.

According to reports, CM N. Biren Singh was suppose to hand over his resignation to Manipur Governor Anusuiya Uikey after meeting her at 1:00 PM.

The resignation letter reads, “I herbey submit my resignation as Chief Minsiter of Manipur. I thank you for your cooperation and guidance during the past few months.”

This comes hours after huge crowd of women gathered outside Governor Anusuiya Uikey Bunglow after reports of Chief Minister N Biren Singh is slated to meet the governor and tender his resignation.

Locals said that they don’t want CM to resign as he is doing a lot of work for them.

Another said that they have been under a situation of turmoil since 2 months and they are  looking for the day when the Govt of India and Manipur will resolve this conflict in a democratic manner.

She further said that in such a a situation if the Manipur CM resigns, how will the people live here? Who will lead us? He has been leading us from the beginning of the conflict. I do not want him to resign. We trust him.”
