Shillong, Sept 11: Meghalaya has received Rs 405.64 crore under the Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) during 2024-2025.
The fund was sanctioned by the Ministry of Jal Shakti, Department of Drinking Water and Sanitation, Minister in-charge Public Health Engineering Marcuise N Marak said in his reply to a starred question tabled in the Assembly on Thursday.
He informed that the ministry is yet to release funds for the year 2025-2026.
The minister said that the pending bills as on August 31, 2025 to be paid to all contractors for the works completed, yet to be received from the government of India amounts to Rs 695,01 crore.
