Tura, April 11: The highly anticipated TDCA inter-club cricket tournament culminated on Tuesday with an exhilarating final match between Krimkro, the reigning league champions, and Miracle, the second-placed team, at the Alotgre Cricket Ground in Tura, West Garo Hills.
Krimkro, having won the toss, elected to bat first. However, their opening didn’t go as planned as they lost a wicket in the very first over. Despite this early setback, they managed to score a decent total of 187 runs in 38.2 overs, albeit losing all ten wickets in the process.
In response, Miracle faced a stiff resistance chasing the target, losing wickets at frequent intervals. Nonetheless, they displayed commendable determination and eventually chased down the target in 38.4 overs, losing only seven wickets and winning the match by three wickets.
Manish Sharma, who delivered a match-winning performance for Miracle, was awarded the man of the match award for his unbeaten 39-run knock and two-wicket haul. Meanwhile, Jangkar Momin was crowned the man of the series for his outstanding all-round performances throughout the tournament.
This fiercely contested final match drew a large crowd of passionate cricket enthusiasts who were treated to a thrilling display of skill and sportsmanship by both teams.
