Shillong, Feb 26: The Meghalaya Pradesh Youth Congress has appointed a new team of office bearers for the Kharkutta Assembly Youth Congress, along with 253 additional members, in a move aimed at strengthening the party’s grassroots network ahead of upcoming GHADC elections to be held on April 10.
According to an official notification issued by the MPYC State Executive Committee on Thursday, Riihu Marak has been named President of Kharkutta AYC.
He will be supported by three Vice-Presidents — Gikseng Momin, Chiangku Marak and Robert Sangma — while Sampiang Arengh has been appointed Secretary. Baeby Marak and Mingnam Sangma take charge as Joint Secretaries.
“We are pleased to inform you that the following members are approved as follows for the smooth functioning and participation in all activities related to the Indian Youth Congress,” the notification stated, signed by general secretary of MPYC in-charge of organization.
