Shillong, Apr 22: Langsning FC survived a tough fight from Lawbah SC to register a 5-3 victory in a high-scoring Group F clash of the 5th Meghalaya State League (MSL 5) at Mairang on Tuesday.
The match turned into an eight-goal thriller, with both sides producing attacking football throughout. Nelson Rymbai starred for Langsning with a hat-trick (7’, 10’, 88’), continuing his knack for early breakthroughs by scoring twice within the opening 10 minutes.

Lawbah, however, refused to back down. Adonydevy Riwan matched Rymbai with a hat-trick of his own (19’, 45’+1, 89’), keeping the contest alive till the closing stages.
Langsning’s advantage came from timely contributions by Dajiedlang Wanshnong (33’) and Chusrang Sangma (42’), which helped them maintain the edge despite Lawbah’s repeated fightbacks.
The win strengthens Langsning’s position in Group F, while Lawbah, despite the loss, showed attacking promise in one of the most entertaining matches of the tournament so far.
