Must read

Shillong, Oct 10: Leader of Opposition and TMC leader Mukul Sangma on Friday downplayed rumours of some TMC MDCs switching to other parties ahead of the Garo Hills Autonomous District Council (GHADC) polls.

Responding to speculation about defections, Sangma said, “Let me not be disrespectful to these leaders. Some people don’t have patience.”

He asserted the importance of clarity and strategy in politics, adding that actions and decisions convey a message to the masses.

Sangma highlighted the need for mutual trust and respect within the party, stating that leaders must work together with a shared resolve.

He also cautioned against judging others’ decisions, saying, “If there are people who do not have patience or do not want to face challenges… let them have their wisdom and let them apply their own wisdom as they are elected leaders.”

Expressing confidence in his own support base, Sangma said, “I will tell you one thing that people who think alike, people who share the same resolve with me, I think I have many people who are around.”

To a query, Sangma said, “If Dr. Mukul Sangma is little quiet and therefore some people are losing their hope, then it is up to them to utilize their own wisdom and knowledge and navigate their charted path ahead.”
