Kohima, June 16: Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio on Friday said that he is deeply disturbed by the unabated incidents of violence in Manipur.
He said the loss of lives, property, and destruction of religious places must end.
Rio also appealed to the people of the state to come together for peace.
His Tweet comes hours after Union Minister Rajkumar Ranjan Singh on Friday expressed shock after miscreants torched his residence in Imphal’s Kongba area on Thursday night.

Singh also said that the “law and order situation in Manipur has failed”.
He also said that he had had constructed his house with prayers but failed to understand why it was targeted by mob.
RK Ranjan Singh who is Kerala while speaking to media said when his house was set on fire, the fire brigades was not able to enter the place as people created blockages.
He also said that after knowing about the incident Union Home Minister Amit Shah had called him and he informed that he was not in the state.
