Nagaland Governor asks IDAN to speed up investment push, job creation

Kohima, July 7: Nagaland Governor Nand Kishore Yadav on Tuesday directed the Investment and Development Authority of Nagaland (IDAN) to intensify efforts to attract investments, improve the ease of doing business and create sustainable employment opportunities in the state.

Chairing a high-level review meeting with IDAN officials at Raj Bhavan in Kohima, the Governor reviewed the Authority’s ongoing initiatives, recent achievements, current programmes and the challenges facing investment promotion in Nagaland.

During the meeting, IDAN presented its roadmap for boosting investment inflows and accelerating economic growth.

While appreciating the Authority’s work, Yadav stressed the need for faster and more coordinated action to make Nagaland a more attractive investment destination.

He underscored the importance of stronger collaboration among government departments, investors and local stakeholders to ensure investment proposals are implemented effectively.

The Governor said improving the business ecosystem and expanding employment opportunities would be key to accelerating the state’s socio-economic development.

He also called for greater outreach, streamlined procedures and faster execution of projects so that investments translate into tangible benefits for the people of Nagaland.
