Kohima, July 28: The Milak Bridge, a vital link connecting Yajang Village and the 13th India Reserve Battalion in Tuensang District, has been completely washed away, disrupting connectivity to the area.
Officials said the bridge was damaged amid ongoing rain and adverse weather conditions in the region. The District Administration and the District Disaster Management Authority are closely monitoring the situation and have undertaken relief, restoration and mitigation measures in the affected areas.
Efforts are also underway to assess the extent of the damage and to restore connectivity at the earliest.
The Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority, in coordination with the District Administration and all responding agencies, continues to support ongoing disaster response and restoration efforts to ensure the safety and well-being of affected communities.
