Tura, June 22: The North-Eastern Hill University (NEHU), Tura Campus, in collaboration with the NSS Postgraduate Unit, celebrated the 11th International Yoga Day, embracing the spirit of unity, health, and well-being. The event saw active participation from students, faculty, and staff of NEHU Tura Campus, along with NSS volunteers from the NSS PG Unit, who assembled early in the morning to embrace this year’s theme: “Yoga for One Earth, One Health.”

The yoga session was led by Dr. Thrinadha Rao Bandaru, Assistant Professor, Department of Management, and Mr. Selva Kumar T, from the Department of Agribusiness Management and Food Technology, who volunteered as yoga instructors for the day. Their insightful guidance and demonstration of asanas were met with great enthusiasm and appreciation. Participants engaged in a series of breathing exercises, stretches, and meditation techniques aimed at enhancing physical and mental clarity.
In his address, Prof. Deepak Bhagat, the Program Officer of the NSS PG Unit, highlighted the role of yoga in building a healthy lifestyle and thanked the faculty trainers for their dedicated efforts in making the session impactful and inclusive.
