Shillong, June 22: The Special Investigation Team (SIT) of the Meghalaya Police has detained two more individuals in Indore in connection with the ongoing probe into the murder of Raja Raghuvanshi.

Superintendent of Police (East Khasi Hills) Vivek Syiem confirmed the arrests, identifying one of the detainees as a property dealer who had rented out a flat to Vishal Singh Chauhan, one of the main accused. Sonam Raghuvanshi had reportedly stayed at this flat prior to her arrest.

The second individual is believed to be the security guard of the apartment complex and is suspected to possess key information related to the case.

Police sources revealed that CCTV footage showed the property dealer, identified as Shilom James, removing a bag belonging to Sonam from the flat after the arrests. His detention is linked to the disappearance of several items from the premises.

Both detainees are expected to be brought to Shillong by Sunday evening and will be produced before a judge for remand.
