Kohima, June 24: Amid ongoing discussions on the implementation of the Inner Line Regulation (ILR) in Nagaland, the Inner Line Regulation Commission (ILRC) of the Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) has convened a stakeholder consultation with non-local organisations, associations, unions and welfare bodies in Dimapur on June 27.

The consultative meeting will be held at 11 am at Hotel Grand Vista in Walford Colony, Dimapur, and forms part of the Commission’s efforts to engage stakeholders and gather feedback on the implementation of the ILR regime in the state.

In a public notice, the ILRC said the exercise aims to provide a platform for non-local communities to share their views, concerns, experiences and recommendations on issues related to ILR implementation, including compliance mechanisms and administrative challenges.

The Commission has invited organisations to actively participate and present issues faced by their members, with the assurance that suggestions and observations received during the consultation will be taken into account while framing its recommendations.

The meeting comes at a time when the implementation of ILR in Nagaland, particularly in the commercial hub of Dimapur, remains a subject of intense public debate and policy discussions.

The ILRC has asked organisations to confirm their participation by June 25, adding that further details regarding representation and participation will be communicated after confirmation.
