Offices in Tura keep Tri-color hoisted at half mast to mark the demise of Iranian President

Tura May 21: A one-day state mourning was declared across India on Tuesday as a mark of respect for the Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi, who died in a helicopter crash. The mourning was observed in the Tura Town, along with the rest of the country.

The DC office and the Police Superintendent office in Tura kept the Tri-color hoisted at half mast to mark the mourning.

Funeral events for Iran’s president and foreign minister began in northwestern Iran on Tuesday as investigators looked into the helicopter crash that killed them and the country grappled with the shock of losing two of its most prominent leaders at a volatile moment.

The presidential election are slated for 28th June as per official report.
