Shillong, Jan 27: Over Rs 14.90 lakh has been seized in West Garo Hills district on Friday. 9 litres of liquor costing Rs 3,912 was also seized in the district, state’s chief electoral officer (CEO) FR Kharkongor said.

The seizures were during the checking conducted as part of implementing the model code of conduct to ensure free and fair elections are held on February 27 in the State.
