Tura, Sept 27: The Bus depot below the Hawakhana petrol pump in Tura has become similar to a dumping ground as people indiscriminately throw the waste in the area.

The bus depot provides bus services to Rajabala, Sellsella, tikrillkila, and Mancachar, among other places.

The situation raises a big question on the role of the Area Development Committee and the Tura Municipal Board (TMB), both of whom are supposed to keep the area clean and hygienic.

While the area committee and the municipality may be caught napping, but even the bus operators and the ticket sellers have turned a blind eye to the menace despite operating from the area daily.

Seemingly, each authority is looking at the other party to take the initiative as they don’t think it is their responsibility, yet.
