Guwahati, May 21: Global hip-hop and rap star Post Malone is all set to perform in Guwahati on December 8, marking one of Assam’s biggest international concerts yet.
The announcement was made by Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Wednesday during a press conference at the Lachit Barphukan Police Academy in Dergaon, Golaghat.
Post Malone, known for hits like “Rockstar,” “Circles,” “Sunflower” and “Better Now”, will be the headline act under Assam’s newly launched concert economy policy, which aims to boost the local economy through large-scale music events.

“This concert will build on the momentum we’ve created from earlier shows,” said CM Sarma, highlighting the success of previous performances by artists like Diljit Dosanjh, Prateek Kuhad, and Anuv Jain in Guwahati.
He also announced that Guwahati, Jorhat and Dibrugarh have been identified as key concert destinations to attract major event organisers in the future.
Post Malone has won an incredible 18 Grammy Awards.
