During the rally banners, placards and slogans were raised voicing the people’s anger towards the adamant attitude and the failure of the District Administration to address the matter which needs to be resolved urgently because as days go by the amount of garbage at the market area and the households is increasing. Some of them claimed that the stench from the garbage, which has been accumulating for weeks and months now, is unbearable and posing a health concern for many.

At the main gate of the entrance to the Deputy Commissioner’s Office the protester started dumping garbage in plastic bags as a mark of protest.
